A very inexpensive gelding sent over to a client in Singapore. This link shows his latest win which took his earnings to over $100,000. He is a son of the mediocre stallion, King Of Danes, and is not overly big. However, he is sound and honest, and has more than paid his way. We thought that he would be suited to the conditions in Singapore, and he has proven a pretty astute purchase.
Another value purchase brought through contacts in the US during the EI outbreak in Australia. Still going strong.
If you have read my writings in the Sportsman, you will be aware that there is a lot of truth to the old saying of horses for courses. Years of research have shown that different horses suit different conditions. Queensland horses are very different to those who win in Sydney and Melbourne. Why buy a horse that is unsuited to the conditions that it will be racing under? How many horses are disposed of because they would have been much better of racing somewhere else?
